Nah, Mark and Lard were the best radio duo. Followed closely by Adam and Joe, and then Chris and Dave.
Is this how it's going to be now with Twitter? A story comes out about a member of the team (Past or...er...past) and then we will get an update about who is talking to who around the time of the story?
"Goodbye Great Britain" Chris Moyles final words on BBC Radio 1 (Friday 14th September 2012)
"Hello Again Great Britain" Chris Moyles first words on Radio X (Monday 21st September 2015)
I'm one of those who also noticed something different between Chris and Dave. Especially in the last show when Dave was withdrawn and didn't talk to the others but that might have been nerves.
But I don't think Chris was the reason for Dave & Jaynes break up or that they have been having an affair. I think it's more about growing apart. But what do I know, this is all gut feeling and speculation.
I just find it interesting that seemingly none of the three commented on the story
Why? Because any other time there's a story in the papers Moyles has always been quick to dispute it so following that form you'd expect a swift rebuttal. Silence just makes me, at least, presume there's more than a slither of truth in it
He usually rebukes it on his show where he can give the whole story, not on twitter where he's confined to 140 characters. It's no longer important that he shares his personal life with his fans as he's not doing breakfast - so I'm not surprised he's staying quiet, regardless of whether the story is true.
If there is a disagreement, which would be perfectly natural, then its a bit sensationalist to speculate about 'love triangles' or whatever other term the tabloids use.
If there has been a falling out, i reckon it was financial rather than anything else. Dave was never coy about mentioning money problems on the show & maybe Chris' decision to jack it in due to the Radio One One Direction direction ( ) or whatever, came at the worst possible time for Dave.
But at the risk of making myself a hypocrite with that above, its really none of my Goddamn business.

In that instance there wasn't a great deal to reference. The papers reported that Chris split with Sophie and that was a fact.
And Chris has said many times that he is single, so he did reference it in a way. Regarding twitter, Chris could express himself eloquently enough on there if he so wanted, whether it is his preferred medium or not. In fact, in the absence of radio, it is the ideal medium.
Personally I am not particularly bothered about this one way or the other. It was clear to me for ages that they were no longer close. What the reasons are behind that I am not really bothered about. They created, for the most part, fantastic radio. All good things come to an end - radio shows and friendships included.
I'm not someone who has any respect for tabloid newspapers, or who is overly disposed to believing anything they write, but the re-emergence of this story has got me thinking back. I still find the whole Dave/Jayne split, Chris/Jayne rumours/Facebook pictures (with subsequent covering up) and rather apparent cooling (or death) of the friendship between Chris & Dave to be an odd mix of unexplained loose ends and curious occurrences.
I'm not really even looking for answers. Tbh, we're probably better off not knowing the situation now.

I don't believe it was ever really known to us why they broke up though, which could be the missing piece that might explain what Dave's 'problem' is. There are so many pieces of the puzzle missing that you can't really say who's right or wrong.
Wow, I've been so busy recently i'm only jus' catching up on this.
Can't say I'm surprised as I had noticed the relationship between the two of them wasn't what it used to be. But, and I must stress this is my personal opinion, I think Chris is a fecking eejit (and you all know no-one loves Sir Moyles more than I). As my favourite Brummie put it so eloquently...

Which is bob in in my book. I'm sure Chris could come up with all sorts of imaginative arguments as to why this is acceptable in his eyes, but to me this is inexcusable behavior (ranked alongside 'climbing off' a sister/mother) and I can't help but hold him in lower esteem. I'm sure Jayne is a perfectly nice lady, but for Chris to not shun her under the circumstances of her break up with Dave - a great mate of over 15 years, is jus' not right. The pain caused to Dave, by Jayne, should have resulted in comraderie and support, not staying pally with 'the enemy'. Jus' as Jaynes friend should have rallied round her.
To me, this is wrong on every level and Chris should be ashamed. Glad i've not invested in either the album or tour yet, and I never thought i'd utter those words.
I've actually met Chris n shook his hand. This fact is still causing slight issues in my trouser dept....

You mean if it turned out to be true it would be inexcusable and you'd hold him in lower esteem. And let's face it, we're highly unlikely to ever know.
To speak as if these rumours are confirmed facts is to potentially libel all involved, and anyone doing so should remember that. The truth of the story wouldn't necessarily matter if any of the involved parties read this forum and wanted to sue. And that's not a moderation thing - I just don't wanna see anyone here get in trouble!

I had to log in just so I could reply to this because it's utterly ridiculous. For a start all of this is hearsay and we know absolutely nothing about it. But to just address the gossip for a moment:
Chris is friends with both Dave and Jayne. Jayne and Dave splitting up is sad, yes, but couples break up. Chris should not have to pick a side to be friends with and reject the other. What is this, the playground? It's completely acceptable for Chris to be friends with both parties and to suggest he has done something wrong by not 'picking' Dave and ignoring Jayne is just ridiculous. They are all adults, Dave is a big boy, he can deal with his friends still being in contact with his ex wife.
As someone involved in that original thread and who may have sparked some debate, let's not go off all half-cocked or make mountains out of molehills (Shakira)!
This is all rumour and conjecture. The most we've heard (and which is itself unconfirmed) is that Chris may have stayed friends with Jayne after Dave and Jayne split.
That's it. And this may not have even been it.
I imagine the story will eventually come out, but until then, we don't know anything. And neither does the Mirror, so all they've printed is that according to "a Radio 1 source", Chris and Jayne are friends. If they printed anything else, they could get sued. Thus, I don't think we should be "printing" anything else here either.
It'd be interesting to see what the real story is, but let's not jump to conclusions.
