I asked if her peas were ok.

She told me they never go away, but once you get used to them they're not so bad.

That awkward moment when you read a joke 3 times and still don't get it.

It was a poor joke, I just wanted to come up with an original one.

Your mum's so inarticulate, her limericks are highly repetitive and don't often scan.

Ah. Herpes. Not her pee's.

Haha.

Your mum's top lip is so hairy, it makes Chuck Norris' beard look like Jessica Alba's vagina.

Playing devils advocate, isn't that a little harsh? I can understand the town wants to preserve it's heritage and local vibe, but would it of caused much distress? The introduction of such a shop did good in my local town by making a retail estate just outside the main town more attractive to visit when numbers were falling and shops started to leave. Now it's buzzing with more clothing shops.

I think Costa would have been absolutely screwed if they went ahead. Their revenues would be tiny given local prejudices, their brand would be damaged and they would probably have had to publicly admit defeat and close the branch at some point in the future (or keep a money pit for the sake of saving face).

Everyone's done alright here I think. Costa get positive publicity for being a 'brand that listens', and the town's retail industry keeps it's USP.

They must of done some research first before looking at that location first. But responding to people power is always a positive thing. Shame the government don't do that more. :?

There seems to be a preponderance of Costas everywhere. Even in Dundee, which isn't a big city, there's 3 of them that I know of in the city centre.
Too bad I go to Caffe Nero. 8)

Caffe Nero ftw. I don't drink coffee, but my daughter-out-law is a manager of one of their stores, so I am Team Nero!
