I have some friends in Dallas. They were here last summer, laughing at us because the papers and news programmes were full of stories about the "drought" we were having.....!

I used to love it in the eighties, but I saw some episodes earlier this year, and it looks appalling and sounds even worse, although I still love the basic story and characters. I hadn't realised how much TV had changed in a relatively short time.

Apparently Chris and Sophie are getting a staying in a caravan park just outside of Preston for a week. There's an outdoor pool, a little chef just up the road and a bar that closes at 10.30 with a pool table with only 5 red balls but it does have an arcade machine with Altered Beasts on it. Chris is trying to get the high score this year.
