They definitely played Keane's version of Under Pressure, which is their track from the Established 1967 feature.

It was an excellent version too... that song is class the way it is, and I'm glad they didn't tinker with it.

I must admit, I was quite impressed, I agree about the original too. The song I'm most interested in hearing, purely for bizarreness is The Streets doing Your Song by Elton John.

I liked the Keane cover too, very good. But Keane can do no wrong for me, I am a little biased. Also - as a die hard Jam fan, is it very very wrong of me to say that I actually quite liked the McFly cover of Malice.....? Because I did.

I see no one chose Happiness is Eggshaped or Step into my World let alone Blame it on the Weatherman. Classics overlooked again.

Ive not heard it yet, but im wary of anyone that tries to cover Queen. Certain songs should be left along.

I wasn't a huge fan of it - mainly cos it just sounded exactly the same as the original. If you are gonna do a cover, I think you should try doing it in your own way. Tis a shame really, I have a lot of time for McFly - they are good at what they do.

Others may argue.

Keane's version isn't bad. It isn't as good as the original but it isn't bad.

Mark Ronson / Amy Winehouse's murdering of Valerie is much worse.

McFly covered Don't Stop Me Now for charity earlier this year - my mate felt that it was sacrilege to be touching that song. I didnt mind it, but again, it was exactly the same as the original.

Fully agree with you there Foot's. It is a crime to try and cover any of Freddie's work.

I try to avoid being sarcastic on here, it gets confusing.

So your seriously telling me that Bowie went back and re-did Under pressure with the rest of Queen? Cos the original was Bowie and Queen so there's a version I've never heard? Get out of here, I've never even heard OF it!

I'd go so far as to say you were telling porkies to try and make yourself look big and clever in front of the gang!

Again, apologies, thats the version I was talking about. I thought it had been re-recorded, but on further investigation, it appears to be a remix.

Telling porkies on a subject I dont know a lot about wouldnt make much sense - especially on here, there are a lot more knowledgeable people kicking about that would be quite happy to correct me

I used to work with someone who did that... maybe if I remember I will post the list of things that he said he has done on here, we did start to make a list, then stopped when it got ridiculously long. He was a real "two shits" (if you'll pardon the expression.)

One of my mates does it - its comical. The best bit is that we rip him something rotton for it as well, but he doesn't realise when he is doing it.

The best was when he was playing a gig with Snow Patrol.

He blatently didn't realise that was the original but he did try and change the subject well so fair play.
