Omg adam a bit of a plug there but I like it, I think that you have to see it to notice that there is a large amount of web 2.0 on there. Whilst it may be something to do with ego, it also serves a lot of us users some good surfing

I think its just down to preference, I like flash as I think it makes some sites (e.g. aled.info) look excellent and can enhance the website, although I think some people may not like this for reasons like above or possibly because they see the internet as more of a functional tool which doesnt need to be really pretty but does have to be functional and made of good code and stuff. Agree?

I'm in two minds about Flash, it can be put to good use, but it can also be used to excess (like most technologies I suppose). I like a site to look nice, but really that's generally secondary to its functionality (that and I'm rubbish at graphic design and making things look nice so I'd never criticise anything too much in that respect.)

Also, you don't have to use Flash to embed audio in a web page (though most probably do.)
