I'm using vB on another project now, and I must say that it really isn't that great, especially considering the cost. phpBB also has a nicer function layout, making the hacking on it much easier and nicer.

It's been interesting this, I never realised you bought a package software thing to do the work, not sure how it was done, nut didn't twig it was a pre-written thing.

Hacking is a process in which you make something (like a piece of software) do something it wasn't created to do (like pulling the news for the front page and the RSS feed), the 'bad' version of this should technically be known as cracking, but the two terms are vastly confused in modern society.

Hacking "another word" MOD. its like an addon to the forum, i have Zointpoints *profile system" bit like my space.
theres is load's of different ones, arcade, shoutbox, advertisment.

but as said above... it costs a fair bit VB. "if if were to upgrand to Vb u can conver the database to VB and lose nothing .

Phpbb is just a simple, and easy forum system to use, in somecases is better xD

It's a bit more involved that that, but creating a MOD could be considered hacking. I wasn't actually making MOD's for either forums, it was more extracting information through the forum's functions.
