Does anyone else think with Scott Mills doing Chris' show recently that this highlights how much Chris has gone down hill?
Back in the old days when Chris was on in the afternoon it was great, he did an excellent show and I'd rush to the car on my way home from work so as not to miss one minute of it and often sat in there for a few minutes when at home to not miss any other bits. Then Chris took over from the fading Sarah Cox who seemed unable to either turn up for the morning show or present a decent show. At first the shows weren't bad, it took him some time to get adjusted, but then Chris' morning show was excellent and very enjoyable, making the morning rush hour pass quite easily.
Now present day, Chris' show is dull, repetative and seems to suffer from product placement.
I understand that there will undoubtedly be many die hard Moyles fans here that may not agree, but I think that the curse of the morning show that turns once good DJs in to crap has struck again. Chris no longer presents a decent show.
Most of the time his shows are him being sarchastic, talking down to callers or listners, Dave trying to say the same lines as Chris and jumping in half way through, the same old product placement for Sky plus and Xbox etc. and not much else. It's not entertaining any longer.
Scott's show in the morning at the moment is a fresh lease of life. The downsides are that we have to put up with Sarah Cox in the evening pushing out her 'past it' show hoping that she may once again be entertaining, but that's long gone.
I seriously think it's time to replace Chris Moyles and Sarah Cox, the morning show slot has done it's dammage and both are no longer entertaining. I am not calling for Scott to be moved to the morning slot, leave him in the afternoon as the morning show seems to ruin any DJ placed there.
Chris' attitude is almost one of not caring, can't be bothered, I've made it and don't have to try.
Does anyone else agree?
On a slightly different note, if Garry Bushell and Phil Jupitas had a child, would it look like Chris Moyles?:D His photo on the header of Chrismoyles.net stuck that in my head...
