With Michael Barrymore having recently appeared on Celebrity Big Brother and talk of him returning to presenting despite his recent personal issues, would you welcome him back on TV full time? For me I would like to see him back but not untill after the Stuart Lubbock situation has been resolved.

I think he should be back, he wasn't that great for my viewing tastes but his target audience loved him. It was unfortunate really as theoretically the whole Lubbock thing was nothing to do with him as such, just at his house.

It's like if you had a party at your parent's house and someone trashed the kitchen. Hardly your fault but your parents will still hold you responsible.

It wasn't a comparison, merely a point of principle. i.e. he wasn't directly responsible for the death, he just held a party.

Yeah, let's get Saddam to present the generation game. OK he was a dictator who killed thousands, but that doesn't mean he's a bad presenter.

Taking it to the extreme I know, but still the point remains why people don't neccesarily want him in the public eye until this is resolved

I miss him too. I used to watch the show reguarly but now only tune in when good old Boris is presenting.

Angus can never go back to HIGNFY. Yes it would be great in an ideal world, but people can't seem to grasp when he started appearing in papers with stories involving sex and drugs with hookers he became the very thing the show stood against. If he had stayed or came back now then the show would look hypocritical as they are essentially promoting the very thing they saterise on the show. It just wouldn't work.

The last show with Angus was partially funny, partially woefull as every other question it was brought back to him - yeah it's funny for a while, but a lot of it was done better a year previously when the original story came out. Imagine if they'd let him stay - that would be happening every other story every week and the show would have become redundant.

The piss was taken out of Angus anyway during the normal run, but because of the nature of what he did was what they often berrate celebs and MPs for doing anyway it would be very hypocritcal for him to front the show.

What is with Gay famous people, and the press? They seem to have the knifes out for them all the time and it appears to be really unfair. Michael came across as really good in CBB, however odd he may seem.

It may of been his swimming pool, and i'm sure he didn't doing anything to the chap that died. The past should remain the past and people, the media should allow people to again gain their professional life together and do what they are good at.

I agree. The reason he was sacked was simply because it was no longer viable for him to present a show which ridiculed other people when he was so easily ridiculed himself.

I think he should definitely be brought back as a guest presenter one week, I mean it's what 2 or 3 years now since the whole thing?

I doubt he would agree to do that. Anyway, it's always a backward step to go back to doing a job that you once did before.

What?!
How can you compare a murderous dictator to someone who happened to hold a party where someone died in their pool?
Barrymore was considered a good entertainer before that incident, and now just because someone happened to die in his garden he's shamed and considered not to be good enough for TV
