The ads are supposed to be targeted, in the event that anyone takes offense I do have the ability to block these.

As I don't see them myself, I'll rely on visitors to report specific URLs to me.

Whats wrong with it? Some people whinge at the slightest thing. I'm not opposed to being called a white honky, nor do I go screaming racism when it happens. I just laugh as I find it amusing. I live and work (off the books) around asians, and a good percentage of them give as good as they take and are not bothered by so called racist remarks. Too many do gooders in this country which makes a mokery of all races. We all bleed red, so whats the problem.

No but that site would still exist...and therefore it would still cause offence. That theory would only have worked from the start of mankind. Racism (as with many other things) will probably never be wiped out. The only way to stop people acting in a racist manner is to make it a sociably incorrect form. Which is what is happening in many places, thankfully.

That's not true. You will find the white middle aged straight men are treated most unfairly in this country. The British Army recently ran a recruitment drive to employ gay and ethnic people. Tell me that isn't racist against white men. Also, you will see in any police recruitment ad, that they are specifically looking for ethnic officers, again, white men need not apply.

In the town where I live, Asian males, drive around in gangs, picking on and putting in hospital white men who are travelling home alone after a night out. Asian men travel in pairs and rape white women filming it on thier mobile phones. (thankfully arrested)

I ask that this thread be locked as it may turn flare up into a racist argument. Better still deleted.

True, but I also think they're actively trying to recruit ethnic minorities in order to form a more fully integrated society. The rights and wrongs of this I won't go into.

Yes that's the whole point isn't it. That's what they're trying to do ... which means they aren't giving the jobs on merit.

And I agree to a point, although there's nothing to say black and Asian people will not make good cops. Maybe by encouraging them to apply they will get someone who is good at the job and an ethnic minority.

That's fine. So long as they don't give the job to a less skilled person because they're black for example.

HOWEVER I can see the flip side ... 3 coppers go for a better job. One is a minority and get's the job, purely on merit. But of course, it could be seen he/she got it because of their skin colour.

It's bull really isn't it, a skin colour getting in the way.
