Have you got any extensions or plug-ins installed? Which version have you just installed?

You can open Firefox in Safe Mode (Start -> Programs -> Mozilla Firefox (or whatever the name of the folder with the shortcut to Firefox is in) -> Mozilla Firefox (Safe Mode). That will disable any extra themes or extensions you've got, but Firefox should detect if any extensions are incompatible with the new version so this is unlikely to be the problem, but is worth a try.

What version are you now on? I've just upgraded to version 1.5.0.4 and have no problems.. Try uninstalling and redownloading/installing - just in case.

Ah! you good people have Firefox!
I am considering changing, so could I ask for some advice please?

How easy is it to change from IE to Firefox?

Can I keep IE if I wanted too? (I mean without corruption)

Will Firefox 'take' my IE favourites automatically, or can I do that manually?

Is it as good as most people, that have it, say it is?

Thankyou :)

It is easy, and when you first install Firefox it does give you the option of importing things like your Favourites from IE into Firefox.

You will never get rid of IE unless you change your operating system - even if you get rid of your shortcuts, if you go to My Computer and type a web address into the address bar it transforms into Internet Explorer - that's because IE is essentially the same programme as the Windows shell.

Firefox is the way to go. Honestly. And if you think there are areas it could do better, you can always look for an extension that does what you want.

Is it working now Quincy?

Does IE work? Cos I had a problem once where my Interente just wouldn't show up on any browser but things like email still worked.

Strange. Buit in a way thats a good thing because when mine went, they both went and I had to reset windows back to factory settings and that is ALWAYS a nightmare.
