i would recommend the Netgear DG834GT as it is faster than the one you have in that link.
I have this one and it has been fine for me so far. No problems at all.
But netgear in general are a good make to go for.

Netgear all the way. Avoid anything with "Belkin" or "Asus" on the box.

I've heard that Belkin are abysmal, but my ASUS laptop is bloody fantastic.

Strange, I've never had any problems with Belkin, and we have loads of Belkin kit at school.

My previous job was a Network Admin... I agree that most Asus stuff is cool. I have an Asus mobo and an Asus GeForce 6600 Gfx card... but their networking stuff is just naff. Same with the aBit stuff.

We ended up having to throw out half a dozen Belkin Wifi Routers, and the same number of ASUS PCMCIA Lan cards. Swapped it all for Netgear.. Not even a single unexpected disconnection for the rest of the year. Superb Kit.

Definitely! I'd choose Netgear for functionality, but Linksys is also usually rock solid. Especially for Hubs.

I avoid anything wi-fi like the plague. I prefer to see a physical connection.

Wi-fi is fine if it's properly secured.

I've become a big fan of wi-fi over the last year.

My wifi radio is the best purchase I've ever made. Sitting using the internet anywhere in the house/garden is brilliant.

The unfortunate thing is that some lesser-known (cheap) brands only do WEP.

And in my area there are half-a-dozen WiFis.. I keep changing the channels, but /something/ keeps stomping all over my connection. Thank god the ListenAgain has a nice auto-resume feature! :-/

Then again, I made the mistake of stea^D^D^D borrowing a Belkin router when I left the last job. Nothing but problems ever since.

My router is SpeedTouch (Thomson), it seems OK. It came with the package to be honest, I've not shopped around.

mine is secured by WPA. It has a 30 character code to use it, it has access control and if that is not enough then i have also hidden it!

My freeview box has a limited choice, so I use Belkin, which has caused no problems = no complaints here!

But we use D-link DSL-G604T (router hub with modem) which connects to the belkin, and D-Link dongle thing on laptop, again no complaints

i think we have two different netgear routers, and they both work fine for the most part. we might get a third.

The Netgear router with WiFi, 4x net ports, USB _AND_ Printer port is sweet as a nut. Everything you could ever want from a hub / router combo, and in a neat box.

The LAN-based Belkins are okay, but apparently, they simulate some of the protocols, rather than actually implementing them. Something to do with being "first to market", and allowing the chips to be firmware updatable, I believe.

Damn, this is boring stuff..
