I'm sure I am not the only one with exams coming up in the next two weeks...whether it is for school or uni.
So should we all sit down in a circle and spread the chrismoyles.net love?
Good Luck Everyone! We will be Fine!

I finished my final year exams two weeks ago. I'm hoping the lecturer strike will be over soon, so I have some chance of graduating before September.

Good luck to all those still to finish.

Although not a lecturer, I work in an academic institution. all I can say is: "Don't hold your breath".

I heard the strikes on til Christmas now.. they rejected a 12% rise over three years saying it was only in line with inflation.

I get my results in 4 weeks...unfortunately not enough of my lecturers striked for them to call of any exams, plus they didn't cancel exams at my Uni

I hate Exam time, I have to set up the all the tables, making sure theyre the legal distance apart, put up calibrated clocks make sure all the signs are out ("SILENCE! Blah Blah Blah") and remove everything that could be construed as an aid or cheat.... it's soooo boring!

Still, I wish anyone taking Exams the very best of luck.

My graduation ceremony is supposed to be in July so it'd be fun not to be able to graduate this year.

Only one of my lecturers was taking part in the strike and still set the exam. She wasn't marking any coursework though.

Basically, they've been getting 3% rise for about 20 years.. but cos inflation has varied (generally more than 3%), the wages have generally dropped far below the national average. To offer 3% is offering nothing, really.

They need about 6 to 8% for 3 years to bring it back to the national average, we reckon.... but it ain't gonna happen. There's a pile of politics, i'd be happy to discuss with you, but it's got BOG ALL to do with Moylesy, so it'd have to be off-board ;)

That's everything up to Thursday done, I'll get t[…]
