Me and my musical chums in our 'normal' musical mode of Emmet are one of 4 acts contesting the 'Spare Room Music' feature on the Vic McGlynn show on BBC 6 Music for the month of May. The winner gets a play every day at the end of the month...woo yay etc.

We're getting well and truly spanked in the votes so far so we need your help, hop on over here and vote Emmet.

I noticed that Emmet got a credit on the BBC's Snooker last night.

well spotted :D We/I get about a bit. I'm not entirely sure how Funkspiel are so far ahead, perhaps they're voting for themselves, deleting their cookies and voting again. Which lets face it, is smoething I may well be doing at the end of this month. I suspect they log IP addresses however to avoid such dodgy activities.

I'm sure they're well used to spotting the old dogdy votes. The odd one or two wont mind but I suspect big dobber block votes might set alarm bells ringing 8O

Yeah - the bbc have a a large department of people who look out for dodgy internet bbc voting scams. Thats their soul purpose. They are usually locked in a dark room for days at a time.

Graeme Dott must be the poorest player ever to win the World Championship (with the possible exception of Shaun Murphy.)

well, 147 lockdown was the themetune for 2 years...then the BBC recommisioned a new title sequence in 2005 (no wonder our tv licence is so high). And me and that chaps got on the case and did it again. Its nowhere near as good as the first remix however our brief was to make it less 'electronic' so it had to be less in your face.

He was lucky, I must admit, but I did want him to win. Ebdon has won it before and it's always nice to have someone new win the title.

Yes but he's piss poor (granted not compared to most people, but it's all relative - in the context of a world championship I think he's piss poor) as is Ebdon. He maybe world number 7 but there is a big difference between him and the top 3 or 4.
