Hi guys,

Just thought I'd share the news that I became a daddy on Sunday. Emily, my wife gave birth to our first child, a little baby daughter called Leah.

We're both very happy and mother and baby are doing well (although the father can't remember a time when he's been so tired )

She was two weeks late, Topher - a very annoying wait and then she took two whole days of labour to come which ended in a ceasarean anyway! I'm not going to post pictures as I just don't really want to do that.

She weighed 7 lb 13oz when she was born, Kendra - I assume that's the only real vital statisitic you needed - oh and she was 50.5cm long/tall.

wow. my cousin was close to a month overdue and HUGE when she came out. they induced labor and she was out 15 minutes later.

eddie, does your baby look like a little pink raisin? i think that's the best baby look. is it getting any easier?

A MONTH overdue? They don't let you go past 14 days in the UK as it's not good for mother or baby.

As for leah, she's not that wrinkly, no - sorry to dissapoint. It's not getting easier yet - she sleeps ALL day and is awake ALL night. As we get visitors all day too we can't really sleep for more than an hour or so here and there. I'm sure things will improve.

A nice idea with two flaws ...

1) You're miles away and, more importantly

2) You, as far as I know, can not breast feed her!
