I was surprised to hear they're doing a movie. I really didn't think The Simpsons was the type of show to sell-out in that way. Besides, if they were going to do a film they should have done it at it's peak.

I could never bring myself to watch Family Guy, even though people keep telling me how histerical it is. It just doesn't look as though it should be funny. And plus, it's blatently a rip-off of the Simpsons too.

The Simpsons has had 16 series, it's a classic whether you like it or not, Family Guy is hilarious but the Simpsons appeals to alot more people which will always make it top of most lists.

What I heard was they're going to continue the Simpsons until season 20, and then finish it with the movie. I do prefer Family Guy myself, Although I haven't been watching any of it on TV recently.

I heard that the movie will be a calaboration between some of the "classic" writers of the show from the earlier seasons, so I wouldn't bet on that just yet Sidders.
