With more and more younger people switching to Radio 2, Chris Evans could be exactly what daytime R2 needs, a kick up the arse.

Put it this way, if Evans gets the gig, I'll probably never listen to Mills again.

Saying that, I don't listen to Mills much anyway.

I like Mills but find the amount of features and material on the show is lacking, sometimes they'll play 3 in-a-row, then tell a joke for all of 30 seconds and play another 2 songs, it borders on ridiculous sometimes. They know that people only tune in for Flirt Divert, Chappers Revenge and Laura's Diary, there's no real material designed to sound spontaneous.
