hi

does anyone know a program i can record the listen agains?

i remember someone mentioned a program once but i cant find the post

i want to just enter the url of the listen again e.g. rtsp://rmv8.bbc.net.uk/radio1/r1moyles_mon.ra

and then it downloads it.

I tried it once but the program i used seemed to crash and be limited to just have an hour

thanks

As much as I'm probably going to regret saying (well, posting) this, mplayer is free and can dump rtsp streams (as well as other streams). It's CLI based (that means from a command prompt), and the command to have it save a stream is as follows:-

Code: Select allmplayer -noframedrop -dumpfile r1moyles_mon.rm -dumpstream rtsp://rmv8.bbc.net.uk/radio1/r1moyles_mon.ra

Of course, you can substitute the filenames to be for the appropriate days.

I have downloaded mplayer.

What do i do now?

I have double clicked on mplayer.exe and then entered that command into the command prompt but it says mplayer is not recognised as internal external command

EDIT - Its Ok - got it working

Just copy the rtsp url's into the "new" box. The url's can be found here. Also dont forget to rename the file when you have downloaded it, say from "r1moyles_thu.ra" to "Chris Moyles Thursday 23rd February 2006.ra". This means you wont overwrite the previous show what was there last week.

Just downloading the file with net transport is better. Becuase there isn't a risk of an outside sound getting into the show, such as an antivirus noise or somthing like that.
