But lately it has been me thats been upset and thats with the way this board has changed. I suppose you could call it a pastime, I enjoyed coming on here and reading the posts, mostly intelligent and humourous. I've an interest in radio, comedy and of course Moyles so I enjoyed this big time.

Now all that goes on here is pointless posts from estranged listeners of the show and I have to admit I don't think the negitive response to Chris Moyles is good for the board or him. Some critism maybe but not the way some of the guys dish it out here, it either gets personal or just extreme.

I mean this in regard to the way the board has changed in recent times. I have alot of respect for dedicated fans of Chris Moyles and more so for dedicated posters of this board - The long established members for example who know how to conduct reasonable conversations online and intelligent debate.

I'm sorry to say and I never thought I would... but I think its time the board closed and went out on some sort of high before it becomes anymore tiresome or tacky.

You've been here for just over 2 months and you decided all this?

I don't even know where to start with this thread.

Quite frankly this whole issue is ridiculous and many people including Chris himself are completly over-reacting.

So a few people angled some criticism towards a few features on the show. Freedom of speech and all that. Some were a little over the top in their slating, but many of these same people will hold an ill concieved opinion irrespective of objectivity on most things. Therefore, why get so worked up?

Moyles should take it as a compliment that people are saying negative things about some features as many are comparing them with other very good features which he and his team members have created.

Finally I find it a bit petty for him to go an air and give a blanket slating to board members for expressing an opinion. If this rant was aimed soley at those who tackled the subject with little objectivity, then fair enough. From my impression it seemed an attack on anyone who expressed even the slightest negativity towards a particular element of the show.

PS It's a shame to hear Gaspode is no longer posting. He was very good poster. But lets not get . There has been many board members over the years who have contributed as much or if not more. Uglybob, the dr, monkey, hoare, murphy, stickyspanner and myself. One thing remains constant, people come, people go and chris harris still is big chief. At certain times, certain people will be flavour of the month but there is always someone waiting in the wings ready to do the job.

Hi Steve, May I say another good worthwhile and interesting post.

I do agree with you to a certain extent. If by saying 'people are over reacting too much' in regard to this thread then I stand by its first post.
Again I don't mean to get on anyones nerves and I'm only making a point and expressing my opinion but I felt the message board was becoming a community of 'Moyles Haters.' I thought lately that on every Moyles mention the board would fill up with new members all hell bent on just a 'shout out' through pathetic, immature messages.
I only wanted to air my concerns on way the board has changed, I really want the place to remain a site I can visit and enjoy.

Yes... it looks as if I am taking the whole thing too seriously but lets not forget that many of the long standing members have posted messages after message for years which has made the board what it is.... why forget that? Why let some jumped up 'chav dummies' ruin the good name that chrismoyles.net has worked hard for.

On a personal level beep beep I agree with many of your opinions.

Your principle arguement however appears that the board should close because it has changed.

Its a different show now, which is understandable as the afternoon show was never going to switch over to breakfast. Whilst I prefered the afternoon show, Moyles as a broadcaster has greatly developed and the morning show is obviously hitting all the right buttons with other listeners. What is also understandable however is that the composition of board members and content will alter as a result

I see the site being at a transitional stage.

I don't think there are that many people activley posting which have been posting on this board longer than I have so I have seen the ebb and flow of great members over the years. Some leave some stay, new people fill the void but the ultimately someone else steps up, fills the void. Prime example is the man Quincy, hasn't been on the board for ages but is providing some very funny posts. Change is inevitable whether you want to accept it or not.

Also, something which is rarely recognised is not just chris harris' effort but the likes of Dickie, Console and MC who put in a great deal of effort on the site in general, creating a fantastic information tool for chris moyles fans. This factor alone will ensure that this site has a worthwhile purpose and a place on the world wide web for many years to come.

Should the site close? I disagree.

That's everything up to Thursday done, I'll get t[…]
