Scholes isn't in his prime anymore. And Lampard is one of the best midfeilders in the world. You can hate him if you want, but he is someone you have to admire. When he was at West Ham he was nothing, now he is world class. Worth a lot of money.
I admit he hasn't been as good for England as he has been for Chelsea, but he plays for Chelsea way more often. So next year is his chance to overcome his critics. It's a downfall on him in some ways that he plays for Chelsea, because if he played for a less hated team then he wold be liked more.
