i was almost tempted to leave early today. Someone give David Weir his walking stick back. The closest he got to a Bolton player was slapping Diouf on the back on his way off.

works gonna be triffic on monday.

As much as I really don't know much about football, as far as what I'm about to post is concerned, the same goes for every sport.

I absolutely deplore people who leave matches early - I know you said almost tempted Gaspode, which is not the same as actually doing it, but I love it when people leave the game early and their team then do something amazing to win - it shows a lot about people's loyalty when they do that.

We were 4-1 up and our stadium was half empty, it's unbelievable. What does it take to stay and cheer the players off after a good performance? I would not leave a second before the whistle today, it was worth getting stuck in traffic for.

the only time i can remember considering leaving early was when we were 4-1 down at home to leyton orient, but i stayed and cheered on the Os.

I watched the everton match this morning at 4am. clinical finishing from bolton. valente seems like he is afraid of getting hurt and weir was rather poor, i laughed when he passed the ball to vas te. i like the way moyes takes the responsibility publicly for his players crapness.

My favourite instance of this is when in the Rugby League Challenge Cup Semi-Final a few years ago, Leeds were behind to St.Helens and loads of Leeds fans left, only for them to come back and take it to extra time then go on to win - and the groundspeople wouldn't let them back in.

I don't really see the point in leaving before the end, I have seen people leaving at Bradford before halftime when we are behind and we go and win comfortably. It's a waste of a ticket and you can hardly call yourself a fan

It reminds me of the time Leicester beat Arsenal in the League Cup. We were losing by 2 goals up until injury time and loads of people had left. We got 2 goals in injury time and it went to penalties, which we won. Wenger accused us of playing for penalties.

I didn't mind seeing the Germans leave early in 2001.

it was good finishing but when you pass the ball to their players it helps. Valente doesn't tackle but i think thats the style of football he is used to. We had two thirds of possesion but only created anything when four nil down. Bolton were solid defensively. We need the Derby to wake some players up.

Like when City were in the Play Off Final in 99, 2-0 down with five minutes to go, I didn't even think about leaving. But a lot of them did, and those who didn't fight with the stewards to get back in, missed us scoring two late goals and going on to win it on penalties.

You'd have thought they'd have learned their lesson from that!

Just watched the highlights of that. And considering they still have players out it was impressive. Solano was being a bit of a dick though.
