POMPEY CONTINUE MANAGER SEARCH BUT NO TALKS TAKE PLACE WITH FORMER BOSS
As Portsmouth Football Club continues its search for a new manager, the club has today totally denied claims in the national press that Milan Mandaric held talks yesterday with Harry Redknapp about the former Pompey manager returning to Fratton Park. The club will today be contacting the newspaper in question demanding immediate retraction of this incorrect information.
The club can, however, confirm that official approaches have been made to Sheffield United and Glasgow Rangers requesting permission to speak to Neil Warnock and Alex McLeish respectively. As reported Crystal Palace have already turned down Pompey's approach to investigate the possible availability of Iain Dowie.
Chairman Milan Mandaric remains committed to bringing a manager with experience of British football to the South coast and fans will kept up to date with any progress here on http://www.pompeyfc.co.uk
