I don't think the term 'geek' really applies to many people anymore. It's only extremes like Console.

I just found this definition which might apply:
Geek - "A person with a devotion to something in a way that places him or her outside the mainstream. This could be due to the intensity, depth, or subject of their interest"

I would define a geek as someone who will actually speak to people who couldn't care less about computer things.... In this day in age, people who use the internet (even forums) arent geeks as its so common.

Mean Moyles is a geek, he used newsgroups in 1997, when the net wasnt even popular.
