HIM wanting to take over as Countdown host amuses me, if he were to get the job I'd enjoy laughing at him everytime I saw him on the show. If quiet cosy afternoon tea and biscuits is his thing then let him have it, gives him an idea of his nerdy demographic. Yes, maths and english CAN be fun, but I'm no fan of swot Vorderman, and the show itself I've always found boring. This is just the place for little chris, as he'll be able to collect dust for 20 odd years like Whiteley!

It has to be said, his attempts on television have been dire what with the likes of Live with...Christian O'Connell and Christian O’Connell’s Sunday Service. Just totally unfunny, trite, lowest common denominator, derivative cack! Basically!

Keep it like that!
I am so jealous of you now, but I'll learn to accept it, as long as you admit to knowing who Jeremy Kyle is

I think this thread title is misleading, as I don't believe Christian O'Connell has EVER made anyone laugh.. well not intentionally anyways...

Its an ironic title, basically what it means is "I cant believe this guy is billed as a credible rival to Moyles" I've never listened to him at all in my life, if that helps.

Then how do you know he's not a credible rival............ if you've never listened to him at all in your life then I suggest that you're not really in any position to rate his ability as a DJ.

That's what I think anyhow.

.....so how do you know he isn't? I'm sure this isn't irony. It is SOMETHING, but not irony!

He does all that Irish Singing that the Grannies love doesn't he ?

I never seen him, but I don't think that qulaifies him as a DJ, I don't need to see him to judge that, singer = DJ - never going to work.

It's not like he's a DJ so it's a bit picky to have a go at poor Savoir of reviews on that basis, now if he was a DJ then it would be different he's be a spanner to say that he is no good as a DJ even though he'd never heard him, but seeing as he is a lovely folk singer, its justified

Oh yeah, my husband's granny has been to see him. Twice. I heard a bit of one of his records once, but after a few seconds I got a kind of ringing in my ears and a kind of red haze over my eyes, and then I woke up in Stoke with someone else's shoes on. He's a bit boring I think.

That happened to me, except it was The Cheiftans, and it was tinitus, and the haze was purple, and I woke up in bed with no shoes on, which was odd as I am a horse

Being a fan of countdown and being smart enough and having a smart enough reputation to host countdown are two completly different things, He MUST be having a laugh if he thinks he could do it

Steady on, this could get dirty............. I think MC is approx 21, what age would you estimate.? GBM < 18 as can't do jury duty, so Jail and bait, and voyuerism could come together in 1, except not room in Jail!

That is an open question to all, please see guidleines on posting to enable a responce.

Oh MC didn't you just love it when everyone just got shitty with each other, easier to police

That's the one... of course he was originally cast as Wilma, but was demoted to the lesser role after the infamous Ginger Wig Incident...

No you ruined my gag, you're supposed to say, "no, SIGH, that's Rosie O'Donnell." and I reply back in a bit with an even more obscure O'Donnell... get it?
