Grrr I thought NTL was bad - but now we have BT broadband - all is forgiven NTL (although you are still trying to charge us for your service!)

I have a connection that goes from 500k to 1.5mb - dont sound much but its annoying as it drops everytime it fancies a change! *rant over*

I'm getting free wireless internet from the next door neighbours who haven't figured out that they can put a password on it... shhhhhhhhhh !

Don't tell them, or they'll wise up.

my mate did that for months lol

he only stopped cause he had to move, people that dont put protection over their wireless connections get what they deserve

I used to have Homecall, and I would highly reccomend that you do NOT get it, just because we moved, they tried to set up another number, ended up getting charged for old and new number, tried to get out of contract as we didnt have broadband for about half a year, maybe more and then, we had to get ofcom to sort it, then we only got £20 compensation, not enough for the pain I was put through - no internet, thats got to be one of the number one killers of young people

Got Tiscali now and all is good

NTL still tried to charge me a full YEAR after id disconnected and after MANY many angry letters explaining their f*ckup to them, and even tried to set debt collectors on me... i did have to question why the debt collectors take NTLs business though, coz they told me NTL send them to people who dont actually owe them any money ALL THE TIME... if you ask me that s**thole operation should be shut down.

Wireless networks aren't worth the cables that connect them anyway. We were so sick of the wireless suite at work that we ripped it out.

The best way to cancel a contract if they won't let you out is to say 'as soon as this phone call is finished I'm cancelling the direct debit to you' - they'll try and argue it but as soon as they realise you're serious, they'll back down.

Tiscali Business is diabolical, not sure about the home service though.

I know a couple of people who are using NTL but have never been charged by them - once a guy even went round to check the bank details, took everything down and they're still not being charged.
