After just over a year Des Lynam will be leaving Channel 4's Countdown due to being fed up of having to travel 250 miles from his home in West Sussex to Leeds. Sorry to see him go.

Bring back Ray Cokes to MTV!

Didn't he think about that before he took the job? Can he not buy a home closer to the studio? It's not like he can't afford it!

I can't help thinking that if he had been a resounding success as replacement for the revered Richard Whitelely, the 250 mile journey twice a month wouldn't have seemed so bad.........
