Here is a demonstration of something that may or may not be included in this thread:

I really dislike going into the bank to pay a cheque in and after queuing up for AGES I can't get out of a conversation about me signing up for a CREDIT CARD that I really do not need.

Another example: I HATE the stupid double standards in this society. When clubs say "no burberry, rockports etc" I just see it as prejudice. I mean fair enough they want people to look smart but the other day my friend (who I would say was 'indie' if anything) was turned away from a club because apparently he was wearing 'chav' shoes! EURGH

i also hate that i'm supposed to meet my brother's girlfriend this weekend, and nobody understands why i think it's lame that she has a tarty myspace page. girl's 22- we don't need 6 shots of her in a bikini! it doesn't scream "deep smart intellectual", but i'm just prejudiced. my brother's convinced they're going to get married. he's been divorced from wife #1 for a month. if he's engaged by january 1, i'll bury myself at hillsborough. i'm tired of being the only member in the family who advocates patience.

oh, and i hate arrogant gerks from fancy posh schools like harvard and MIT. if they liked the rich life of the east coast, why did they move to california for school? it's not my fault they chose berkeley... berekey's not boston so get over it!!

It costs at least £30 to get anywhere by taxi where I live. It's a right rip off. In Sheffield you could get from one side of the city to another and it would never cost you more than a fiver.

betti, it sucks when you come to that realisation, doesn't it? i actually escaped undergrad with minimal debt and just about paid it off. then i decided i had to go to library school. instead of going to the crappy one in state, i decided to do an online program at a top-10 school that will cost 3 times as much. it's stupid because librarians don't make much money anyhow. i need a sugar daddy.

I don't give a f**k about the opinions of bloggers.
If their blogs were saleable they would have newspaper column and get paid money for them and no doubt get as much sex as Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Littlejohn do (probably together).

here's another rant- my parents offered me a free car last year. i said, sure i'll take it, even though i don't need a car. they've given my brother 6 cars in 10 years, and i've never had a car. (i moved away to a no-car-friendly place.) anyhow... so they offer me this car, and i say thanks! and then my brithday rolls around, i've yet to get the car, and they ask what i want. i say car insurance. they haggle with me, but eventually car insurance it is! month roll by, still no car nor insurance and i ask them what's up. they tell me they're going to start looking for their new car soon, so it'll be a month. 6 weeks later they ask me if i actually wanted the car. i told them i did. i don't need a car, i'm just a crap driver because i've never had a car to drive of my own. i figured i could practice for 6 months- a year and then ditch it. they asked if i really needed to do that because... my brother needs a new car! my brother ALWAYS needs a new car. give him a car and it will be dead in 18 months. he never checks the engine light, changes oil, anything. it's disgusting. his first car was supposed to be mine when i turned 16, but he killed it before that. his second one was supposed to be mine when i turned 18, but he killed it before that. i don't know why it pisses me off so much that they decide he needs another car. i know he works a crap job and is going to school, but he's 27! when is it time for him to buy his own car, or are mommy and daddy just going to keep supporting him? gah!!! this is all on top of the "you must be supportive of him" because he's made por decisions and turning his life around. i'm happy that he's no longer devoting his life to pot and whiskey. i'm happy that he divorced his first wife who was a shrew. i'm happy that he seems happy with his new girlfriend. i'm happy that he's finally going to graduate uni, but he doesn't deserve a freaking medal! people do it everyday! and now he gets his 7th car. they wonder why i hate going home to see them. hard work means nothing when you have a good sob story.
