DJ Spoony, who has enjoyed six tremendous years with Radio 1, will leave the station in September. He departs with Weekend Breakfast on a high with a solid, loyal audience. He has recently extended his contract with BBC Radio Five Live to continue broadcasting the UK's top-rated football phone-in show 606 as well as exploring other programming opportunities around his love of both golf and football, as well as carrying on his very successful DJing career.
