We managed to get a really good mortage, My wife's dad knows this really good financial advisor and we worked with him and we're only paying £470 a month on our, good sized three bed semi and house prices aren't cheep round here (I wont say what ours was but the average for a 3 bed in this area is £180,000

We did have to have a massive deposit for that though but now I am forever thankful to both our sets of parents for saving money for us as we grew up and for encouraging us to save whenever we could.
