Sorry to bring back a ten month old thread, bit hypocritical of me really, but I have just got hooked on 24.

Five years too late granted but it is probably the best TV show I have ever seen. Only halfway through Season One but loving it.

MC, you have a long way to come to where I am now, downloading Season 5, episode 7 aired in the us a few days ago (monday)...

I have to say this is easily the BEST tv programme ever.

Oooooh, Season 5 is so exciting, even within the first 5 minutes there was a HUGE plot twist... well, not twist, but real shocker. This *could* be the best series yet, God I hope so!

Yeah I watched episode 7 of 24 yesterday..... From the first epsodes I'd say its by far the best season yet!

Haha, yeah, I liturally just finished watching it! This series is the best!

Although my advice to 24 newbies, would be not just to head straight for season 5, start from 1 and work your way to 5... and If you have a PS2, play '24 : The Game' between seasons 2 and 3.

Having finished Season 1 a few months ago, I am now onto season 2, which is just as good IMO. Would reccomend the show to anyone

Season 2 was (and infact is) my personal favourite so far, with season 1 trailing close behind. However, the current season has started off very well, and may be a contender for the 1st/2nd position.

I saw season/day 1 on BBC One a few months ago, and I really must say that I thought it was okay (in fact I might say I was hooked after half the season had passed), but it took far to long for it to get going. I'm sure that if I watched it again then it would make sense, and I would be into it straight away. It seems like one of those shows you've got to see it all twice or more to notice everything.
The stupid thing was, I missed the last episode bar 5 minutes, and it did not make sense at all.

Anyone have any ideas as to whether it's being repeated on sky one / sky three when they get the repeat rights sometime soon? as I read that BBC no longer have rights to it as fox sold them to sky.

BBC still has rights to season 1 and 2 if they want to show them, but Sky can show them as well. Seasons 3+ are the ones exlusive to Sky and won't be on Channel 1-5 any time in the future. I doubt Season 1 will get shown again anytime soon on the BBC either, more likely Season 2 will get a repeat run.

You're in the same boat as me. I've got the ep, but have to wait until I got home from work to see it.

I have to say that so far this season is better than the last IMHO. Also, I think an old character (Kim Bauer - Elisha Cuthbert) is returning in the next episode (11), which should be good.

Re: Season 1 MC - I know, I never saw that coming at all. It was a really good end to the series. The only thing that really lets S1 down though is the way they almost wrapped up the storyline at around episode 12 (incase they didn't get picked up for the full 24) and having to put in stupid plots like that amnesia one. Still it redeems itself at the end.

(I think it's Barry's beard that does it. I think that was the best episode yet, of any season. You could see the event coming for miles off, but not in the way they managed to show it.......

It was one of those episodes where you just shout * HELL at the end of it.)
