For a 16 year old - its lot. I guessed it was vastly inflated - but surely its around that. Compared to the other staff on that the gunners payroll its nothing, but still - glad he went to gunners than chelsea.

Going to Chelsea would be career threatening at his age. I feel sorry for Shaun Wright-Phillips.

i dont. he made a stupid and greedy choice. He would have played at Arsenal.

Wherever you go - you're never going to be short of cash. Look at Bridge - he has the cash, but has been poorly for whatever reason and has made the short trip down the road to another club.

I think unless you're amazing and can actually get into the team each week (chelsea) then to be on honest there is no point going there.

Do you think that investing in Chelsea has changed football in anyway? Or would you say its made it more interesting by breaking it up and allowing other teams to win stuff?

It's made it more boring for a start. and it can possibly ruin the transfer market.

Thats the only problem really, I think there should be some sort of limit to how much you can spend (obviously within reason) - no other club has that kind of money so it seems a little unfair. They have all that money and that stock, most of which is not being played.

The United takeover hasnt spoilt anything other than some fans getting a bit pissed off, but I agree that it was a bit boring from the start. United FC are doing alright I hear.. Sell out matches etc.

Now, I havent really taken in the last few months on the performance of CFC but i'm sure there're doing okay. It'll be an upset if someone else wins.

Ah well,

its only made it boring for you. the truth is most football fans in this country are rarely concerned with the title race. Chelsea winning it is at least a change from United and Arsenal.

Yeah, but at least they used to contend with each other. Nobody can compete with Chelsea this season.

unbeaten in 2006 and Stubbs keeps Thierry Henry quiet.

Am I the only one expecting four horsemen?
