I know Scott gets a total bashing on here(unfairly in my opinion) but that's an impressive thing to do, and a throwback to when Radio 1 wasn't a pile of manufactured shit.
Kudos.

He's done that before and the Andy Parfitt (the controller at the time) came in and told him to stop.

I saw a bit of that the other day. There was a terrifying woman on it being rude to people. I want to be HER.

The only thing that puts me off about the show is having to rely on others to build up the money. I prefer to fly solo. I love the format of the show though which is why I want to go on it so badly.

I went to my local cinema's annual late night showing of The Muppet Christmas Carol last night, which was awesome. :D

(I posted the same thing in this thread exactly a year ago. This could very very eventually get tedious.)

I love a Muppet's Christmas Carol!

Statler and Waldorf are brilliant in it. Treasure Island will always be my favourite though :D

I love the various "in" references in the Muppets Christmas Carol - like the various names of the shops in London. Its a brilliant film.

Work Christmas do tonight, got my best dwinking hat on! (thats a lie, it'd ruin my hair, specially cut for the event).

The theme is 'silly christmas jumpers' but I refused (as did a few others), but I did tret-m'sen to a new shirt yesterday.

The best thing about the showing I go to is that everyone is so hyped up and happy to be there. They cheer after every name in the opening credits for example (and start doing it ironically when the names are no longer recognisable). I always try to lead the cheer for Michael Caine - I think I succeeded this year. :D

There's always a yell of "Vote Conservative!" after the "If they're going to die they'd better do it, and decrease the surplus population" line. And there's so much clapping after the reference to Tiny Tim not dying in the end that I still don't know what Gonzo says after that.

I'd love an excuse to buy/wear a silly Christmas jumper. Please tell me it's not a hipster thing at the moment?

Same here. I saw an awesome snowman one in the men's department at Asda but I didn't buy it cos I feel like they've become kind of overdone.

Oh, there are some quite funny Christmas jumpers out there (two reindeer humping, a reindeer from behind with jingly bells for balls, a 'kiss me under mistletoe' with the mistletoe shown just above crotch region, for example) , but still wasn't stooping to that level.

Nice pressed shirt and 'non work' jeans for me. Did consider a suit, but that would have grouped me in with the 'high n mighty' from here, didn't wanna seem to be trying too hard.

Is that the woman who was on Are You an Egghead? a couple of years back? I think it was when Barry won it.

You know its almost Christmas in this office when a delivery man knocks on the door and says " whereabouts do you want the 800 bottles of wine I have got here for you?"
