Sad fact though - doesn't matter how good you are at what you do, if you have a colleague who isn't as good but has a degree, they will probably be on a better salary.

I doubt he is, I'd estimate I'm prob on about £10,000 p/a more than him. Benefit of being a contractor. No security (well, less security - luckily my skill set gives me a modicum of security), more wonga.

Scott Mills doing his own "Masterpieces" feature and playing Avril Lavigne's album out on air(I'll probably get flamed to a crisp for posting about this).

I know Scott gets a total bashing on here(unfairly in my opinion) but that's an impressive thing to do, and a throwback to when Radio 1 wasn't a pile of manufactured shit.
