What im really trying to say is - who actually thinks of these comps? I mean, the radio 1 six weeks of summer thing was alright, but the way they gave away the places drawn out. Its was pretty bad. For example, name 6 things colin murray would take to a Strip joint or name 6 things Aled would take for a trip to the supermarket.

I'm not really keen where they build the tension on the radio, and make the caller wait (it must seem pretty painful to find out if you've won a ticket or ten tickets) why do they do that - tension building?

For someone like myself, im fairly small minded when it comes to radio shows - so typically I would have Radio 1 on pretty much all day - sometimes I switch off at 10am. However, if you're listening to Radio 1 all day, i'd like to know how many times they actually mention The Killers, Blackpool, tickets.

If im right, I predict the whole station will talk about how great the event was, Jo Whiley will probably feature most of her links about the friday she met The Killers again and what an amazing show it was.

I wish also that Radio 1 would play the less known Killers songs, rather than just playing Mr Brightside or When you were young everytime they play the Casino thing. I swear people will agree with me, but whenever Radio 1 does a competition like meeting Elvis - this is a once in a life time chance to meet the King. They big it up so much for people.

I hated the Six Weeks Of Summer because it meant Moyles had to do a stupid f*cking competition from 8 til half 8 every day.

Yeah, and not just for this. Less known songs for everyone.
The Streets for example. Whenever it's a 'Streets classic' on the way, you can bet your * and balls that its gonna be 'Dry Your Eyes'. Same with the likes of Basement Jaxx who have a whole singles album worth of great tunes and they only ever play 1 or 2 plus the newest song. It's the same for Feeder or The Libertines or Ordinary Boys.
And come to think of it, what happened to Radio 1 and supporting new music. They never shut up about the likes of The Ordinary Boys (until BB), Maximo Park, The Futureheads, Corinne Bailey Rae and John Legend, but after 1 or 2 singles, they just completely forget about them. The same will happen to The View, Boy Kill Boy, The Fratellis etc

The UK's No1 seaside tourist destination is a perfect place for the Killers.

Also, don't listen to the "you can't get a ticket for love nor money" as there will be plenty of ticket touts outside.

The same thing happened when the Artics, White Stripes, Kings of Leon etc played there. Tickets everywhere.. This gig will be no different.
