Bristol is indeed dreadul. Whenever I'm in Yate I cringe overhearing the convos. I'm sure all the middle aged women sound the same up there.

My brother's girlfriend has a Brummie accent and everytime he talks to her he talks like she does. It's very irritating and I tell him off when he does it.

I do that. I pick up a sligh scouse accent or brum accent, having lived near Redditch for a while and having some mates up there. The scouse comes from my ex, although she was from South Glos, her uni mate in Staffs was scouse so she picked up a bit and now I do when talking to someone from that region.

My accent is a right mess, most people can't place me any more. But when I'm "Normal" it's posh Berkshire all the way!

I moved down from Manchester when I was three. And lived in Surrey the rest of it. I still say a number of words, the manchester way. Bath, Path, Grass, etc etc
