The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

Heard Rachel talking about it being a red sky yesterday morning, which she thought meant it was going to rain, but forecast was for a nice day. Needs to be a really angry red [like Chris's face when been in sun too long] to be a sign of rain.

Other useful tips:

Swallows flying low - rain on the way.
Leaves showing there backs - rain on the way.
Cows lying down - rain on the way, but not very reliable!

Rain before 7am, fine by 11am; but if you live in East of country add a hour to those time, just doesn't rhyme very well.
If the new moon is more of a 'u' shape rather then normal back to front c, sign of good weather to come.
You may well scoff, but remember theses have been around for 100's of years, whereas weather forecaster's are relatively new and not that acurate - gales of '97.

Sorry to hear you and Longman have fallen out, maybe you could start a countryman spot and take a irreverant look at country issues. Would be a useful public service, as too many people are now removed from how the countryside works.
